What is sprouting and why is it such a hit?

Sprouting is a truly magical natural process, where dormant energy is awakened, and an ordinary seed transforms into a vibrant young plant. For this transformation to occur, large amounts of energy and nutrients are required, which become concentrated in the sprouts. Therefore, the beneficial substances in sprouted seeds are many times more concentrated. Sprouts play a significant role in boosting our vitality and overall fitness.

Sprouting in a sprouting jar - the easiest way to fresh sprouts

The seeds need to be soaked to start germination. And give them time to germinate at room temperature. Within a few days, the first crunchy shoots full of nutrients appear.

If you want to start sprouting, a sprouting jar is a great tool. Its use is very simple:

  • Place suitable seeds in a jar, cover with water and leave to soak.
  • After about 6-12 hours, drain the water and rinse the seeds well
  • Close the jar with a special lid with a strainer and place it with the bottom tilted upwards. This will allow excess water to drain out and the seeds to get enough air.

Rinse the contents regularly during sprouting. After 3-7 days the sprouts will be ready to eat. Simply rinse them, let them dry, and you're ready to enjoy. Store the sprouted seeds in the fridge.
