Although they have the same names and belong to the same ginger family, they belong to different genera. The effects of their essential oils are similar, but they differ in scent. While green cardamom, also known as true cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), is sweeter, more herbaceous and balsamic, the essential oil of black cardamom (Amomum subulatum) has a smokier, woody aroma.

Inhalation
Drip 3–5 drops of essential oil into the diffuser or inhalation stick.
Bathe
Mix 3–5 drops of essential oil and three tablespoons of cream, honey or liquid soap thoroughly into the water-filled bath.
Seasoning of dishes
Just dip the tip of the toothpick in essential oil and stir it in 20 ml of vegetable oil (e.g. sunflower oil). A few drops of the prepared mixture, season the finished dish.

Diffúzorban kiváló, igazi frissítő, intenzív kardamom illata van, én viszont elsősorban belső használatra szántam kávéban, arra sajnos nekem nem vált be, nem éreztem kardamom ízt a kávéban a kipróbálásakor.

Bohužial už druhá skúsenosť s Bewitom v krátkej dobe kedy vzorka nevonia tak ako flaštička. Vzorka krásna kardamom vôňa, objednaná 5ml flaštička smrdí ako lak na vlasy… Sklamanie, bewit objednávam roky, ale toto ma núti hľadať u iných výrobcov.

Kardamon je jeden z niekoľkých esenciálnych olejov, ktoré používam aj pri varení. Pri varení nepoužívam kardamon veľmi často, preto by sa v tobolkách alebo pomletý časom znehodnotil. Esenciálny olej je preto praktickejší – pre terapeutické účely a keď treba je po ruke na varenie.
